On May 14, 2024, I led a one-hour interactive session at the AI Empowered Edu conference. This session focused on exploring the fundamentals of AI algorithms and their potential in education. Participants engaged in hands-on activities created a text adventure game using generative AI and shared insights on the impact of this innovative technology in teaching and learning. The session provided participants with a unique opportunity to deepen their understanding of AI while exploring practical ways to engage students and peers in active learning experiences that are both fun and educational.

The objectives for the session were:

• Investigate the foundational algorithms of AI and their educational applications.

• Collaborate with peers while playing a Generative AI text adventure game.

• Facilitate discussions on the implications of AI in teaching and learning, considering both opportunities and challenges.
